unsure if Kirby would have been ready but do I think Kirby is a better coach, absolutely I do. But Kirby Smarts dont grow on trees.
Agree with your entire post. He needs to be more CEO like Mack and less OC on game day but dont think he will check his ego for that.
Time will tell

quote:I said “fairly normal” not that it occurs “each and every game”. You’re arguing semantics in attempt to downplay a 25 point loss. It’s fine brother I’ll let you have this one. Ol Kirby had to bust out his bag o tricks to beat the Horns by 4 possessions.
95% - 99%% of the time after a scoring possession a college football team does not attempt an onside kick that is not a desperation (last possession scenario).
You executed and won, great for you but dont act like thats a normal football play done each and every game because thats factually incorrect. If you are comparing these teams that play (and the 4th down off sides) completely changed what was a very close game.

Going to agree to disagree. An onside kick isnt even normal much less one in the early 4th which was a surprise.
Doesnt matter, yall executed and we didnt. But that game was def not a 25 point game and I am sure you watched the entire game. Texas gets ball back and doesnt jump offsides on that 4th and 5, the refs call a blatant PI on Archs pick when your DB was holding our WR shoulder, and the onside likely doesnt happen. Either way it snowballed because of those 3 things.
We are not better than UGA right now and Kirby owns Sark period.

In every other sport it's more about where you are at the end of the season vs the beginning. Only CFB does it like this.
This is incorrect. In the NFL if you win your first 10 games then lose your last 6 you would still make the playoffs, probably. That goes for just about every other sport, too, except the ones that are predicated on polls...which are college sports.

Loser talk from a natural born loser. Sarkisian should be embarrassed but it's clear he doesn't have an embarrassment gene.

At the same time, zero reason for Texas (or any other SEC team for that matter) to continue scheduling big OOC games if the record is all that matters
That's true, as long as you don't go as far as Missouri and schedule only teams that don't challenge you enough for the SEC gauntlet.

oh the irony about dramatics! You don't even notice the difference between lobbying for the perceived strength of your team vs threatening to take your ball and go home and cancel a scheduled game if you don't get your way!
y'all really are pathetic pussies.
More drama. No one is cancelling the OSU game next year. Trust me on that. The money and attention it will bring in to town alone will ensure that game is played. The gameday crew will be there for sure. You're really trying to suggest he'd try to cancel that?
The guy is fighting for his team just like Deboer and kiffin did last year. Your hysterics doesn't change that.

It's not the OSU loss that gets them though you still play to win..... It's UF and getting whacked by Georgia a game that could have been a blowout in the first 2 quarters...

I don't like Sark either but I have no issue with him trying to make a case. Every year the bubble teams try to make a case.
Personally I think he should be working on how the frick he's going to beat Ryan Day next season and forget about this one.

Lobbying to get in and complaining about being left out are long standing SEC traditions.
I don't recall any team that's been in a 3 way tie for 5th place in the SEC ever complaining about being left out.

Dude. Don't be so sure...there is a lot of butthurt there on the 40 acres. They are not thinking like those of us who have been around the block a few years.
Would not shock me at all if CDC did just that.

Dodds would. Definitely.
I would hope CDC is above that. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

If Texas gets in you’re about to see just how much pull they have

We're not getting in. I can't believe people are suggesting it honestly. People are getting worked up over something that will not occur. There's just no path where we get in.
