Not sure why Oats would leave for any job right now.

Miller would be a good hire

Obviously Oats isn't going to Texas. bullshite artist Bohls is peddling common sense as a scoop. I'm surprised he didn't mention Hurley.

Bohls has always been a clown. He writes for clicks, simple as that.. So strange for a guy that has always covered Texas to be basically Anti-Texas.

CDC runs a pretty tight search based on other hires, so this all seems like bullshite to me. This is likely agents trying to get a new contract and/or Bohls coming to his own conclusions.

I have heard Sean Miller’s name a lot though, and I’m sure CDC did inquire about Oats. He’d be a fool not to.. others as well.

Bohls has been blackballed from the athletic department for many years, he has no sources. Not doubting Texas reached out to Oats but Kirk isn't the one who would know.

He has no reason to leave the gumps

Underwood would be a good hire for Texas. Honestly they should go for Willard (Marylands coach). He’s been in a fight with the school over his extension and NIL commitment

I am starting to notice a pattern....

Texas has a HC opening.

Lots of names get mentioned that for some reason some of them end up getting a raise.

Texas hires a HC that wasn't one of the top names on this list and everyone freaks out.

Find out after the fact that the deal had been done for a while and most of the other names were either super early due diligence or agents trying to get their guys a raise...

It is what it is. Texas is a great stalking horse for agents to get their guy's a raise. They have tons of money and their process (at least with this AD) is kept close to the vest. The problem is then that the media don't have a ton of access to the search and so all sorts of drivel gets pushed out with their only real source of information will be the self-serving agents.

I'm expecting Miller, but I'm still wish-casting for Few and this is my rationale.

Miller has a decent resume but he just doesn't excite me at all.

It’s always been Miller. Apparently, he’s pretty frustrated with the lack of NIL at Xavier

Bohls is legendary for not knowing shite

yeah I think so you.. CDC wanted him 2 years ago when Terry made a run to the Elite 8..

Solid coach. Texas will likely make the tourney, most years with a decent seed and maybe he makes a run to the E8 now and again..

We aren’t Kansas or Duke, so that’s about all you can ask for.. at the end of the day, I’d rather have Beard and that ship ain’t ever coming back..

Ok. Back to baseball season.

I don't see Oats leaving until the NBA comes calling. Would be really dumb.
