do not want kiffin but since he's the shiniest new toy out there, no doubt our boosters want him.
We're going to see how well cdc can keep them in check. If it's kiffin, the boosters are in control.
Personally I think he's crazy to leave Ole Miss. That's a great place for him.

Applewhite and Coach Bev were interesting events but my all time favorite is Edwin Simmons. Getting caught naked outside an assistant coach's house was money.
That still cracks me up

That’s basically what they’ve done. They’ve lost to Georgia and dropped a game in Gainsville.

What? You are 4-2 in conference with a real chance of finishing 4-4 in conference
That isn’t the same as 7-1

I suspect at the end of all this many of you will not understand why Sark just walked with no buy-out settlement. Nor will we ever know.
But what you can surmise is enough.
But let me tell you what did it - "let one of the other 135 teams play at Ohio State and the Swamp - see how they do"
That did it my friends.
The rest was just Texas gathering up all the "incidentals", let's just say. And negotiating from there.

This also is likely for clicks. Look at this board for reference. Of the posts and responses today SEC short has 43, this thread has 144, the rest are 30 or less.
Point is Texas = clicks and the media can say whatever they want without consequence in a 24/7 news cycle where their true bosses are advertisers.
My dream would be for that this bs fake news to have to cite a source, period.

are you assuming the above or have you heard something? I honestly didn't think the noise was very loud outside of the fanbase.

im pretty sure most Texas fans would be ok with this news

quote:I hesitate to suggest this, but I'm wondering when some big time AD is going to try to rein in the insanity we see in coaching salaries by hiring a GM to run the program, and let him hire a coach, NFL style. Stanford is doing this with Andrew Luck, but they aren't big time. Seems to me that somebody like Kingsbury might work if he had someone else managing personnel and making sure that the defensive side of the equation was squared away.
Kliff Kingsbury would be a riot to see the SEC but I don't believe he has the network to fill out a proven assistant/staff program. He's hamstrung in Washington and wants to HC again.

There are more Sark defenders within the fanbase, trust me.

like I said before. I want him gone but I don't wish any of him demons on him. He's a human being. A very flawed human being. Aren't we all?
I hope he lands on his feet...just not here.

He's not going to walk without a settlement. I don't care if he porked the president's wife.

Says the fan of the team we stole your coach and won the directors cup several times already.
If you wan to say he hasnt delivered nattys from the big 3 mens sports thats fair but he is the ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, not just the sole focus of Big 3 sports.

100% agree. Of all our many issues, CDC is not one of them. I am very happy with him in charge of the AD
