1) arse kicked lol - Sure Washington was 12 yards away from winning and OSU was 1 yard away from tying it up. You cant actually think Texas got its arse kicked in those games. Also never meaningless to make it to the playoffs are get to the semis. Is it meaningless to make the final 4 in college basketball? You may be saying that since Aggie has never made it that far.
2) Where did the Big 12 rank similar to Conf USA in 2023? Have any stats to back that up or just typical bs from you Sarge? Either way its a conference title, I think equal to the same amount Aggie got in the Big 12.
3) Why do you just spout lies? Sark has never said anything close to that. Every team that can is paying for players.

Look at his resume and you know who Sark is. It’s not that impressive.
These last two seasons are outliers. If he can put together 2 more consecutive 10-win seasons then we can probably consider him among the top coaches, but he really hasn’t accomplished much other than a gimme Big 12 title.
His overall post-season record is pretty terrible.
On the plus side his recruiting is good. I don’t think Ewers developed all that much at Texas and it appears he’s reached his ceiling which is why he’s probably moving on.

He's moving on because it's been known that next season we're handing the reins to Arch. Quinn knew this was his last season here whether he goes pro or stays in college.
I've been shitting on the guy all season but it's clear my anger was misplaced as texasontop pointed out. It's sark's responsibility to put the offense in a position to win. He failed a lot at that this season.
Perhaps sark can learn from it and get better. I like the guy a lot personally. I want him to succeed. I'm just not going to lie and say I have a ton of confidence in him to do it.
As for quinn, shite on him all you want (and god knows I did that a lot this season) but all he's done is carry himself with class and represent the university with poise. While I have my doubts about his success at the next level I'm definitely rooting for him to prove the doubters (like me) wrong.

You mean QB recruiting? Because to some degree, Texas recruits itself, and especially now.
But sure, QB's always love to go play for ex-QB's.

Solid point. I haven’t looked at this recruiting at previous stops, you are correct…the Texas/SEC brand is attractive to recruits. Plus, the NIL is probably top 2 in the country.

And as much as most of us wouldn't give you a nickel for Austin, recruits love that shite.

Austin is fun when you're young. I still enjoy visiting. Then again I live just outside Houston. Hard to find a bigger shithole than this place now.

I love Austin. A+ cocktail bar and food scene.

Sark has done well the last 2 seasons. I wouldn’t put him as a top coach though. The fact his crown jewel moment the last 2 years is beating an Arizona State team that might have 2 NFL players on their roster is not exactly what elite coaches are made of.
He’s pretty much won every game he should have (outside of Washington in the playoffs and Georgia in the SEC championship) and lost the biggest games where he wasn’t favored (outside of Bama)

He wins the games we're supposed to win over inferior teams and, other than kirby, no one else did that in the SEC this season.
The next hump is to win those games against teams with equal talent. Time will tell if he gets there.

After all the crap laid on Sooner fans for saying Brent Venables ran Dillon Gabriel off after he transferred to Oregon, you better hope Arch Manning has a decent year in 2025 cause this is the exact same situation.

We saw Arch actually play before Quinn left. Arnold got 1 full game that he prepped a month for and threw 4 ints. It's not the same situation.
Quinn was going pro either way after this season. He came back strictly to get more starts before turning pro. It was likely, but not 100% that he was even going to stay for the 2024 season.
