Cause apparently going 8-1 in the SEC may not be good enough anymore

How about just win 1 of the 2 games against teams with a pulse on your schedule.

Dude, it's undeniable we got an easy SEC schedule. Arky & OU being down only increased that. So, I understand the angst.
On the flip side, nobody can argue we haven't tried to increase SOS by scheduling home/home against Michigan, tOSU & Notre Dame as our power OOC opponents.

But its not our fault that teams that traditionally play well are now playing like shite.

I don't know what more you can do for OOC.

It’s not Texas’ fault, but that doesn’t change the fact that if Texas loses to A&M, their ability to beat a playoff-level opponent would be unproven. It would be very questionable to include them in a playoff over other teams with more proven ability to win against good competition.

we did. Michigan this year and Ohio State the next. We couldn't have anticipated Mich would fall apart.
The problem isn't the 8-1 record. The problem is that the top half of the SEC is pretty evenly matched and some have to be left out. If we lose to the ags we do not deserve to go over them. Period.

Maybe we should schedule some Big12 opponents.

I would love to schedule those rich assholes, but they seem to offer their coke way too much, I'm more of a cheap beer type of guy.

*7-1 would definitely be good enough though
6-2 might not
6-2 might not

It should go right along with the history of your football program. An inflated joke...

You know, you're the only blue blood here besides Texas and OU, I thought we blue bloods would stick together?

First, we abandoned divisions to make way for you dorks.
That, in turn, made it impossible to ensure you played a limited schedule with everyone in your division.
That, in turn, also made it possible to play a schedule loaded with the bottom half of the conference.
Texas fans seem hellbent on whining about a situation they themselves created.

None of those teams have played well in like a decade. OU doesn't count because they feasted on Big-12 teams only to be upended in the playoffs.
