What statistics? The footnotes just say this cohort makes up x% of top ten finishes and y% of national titles.
I’m sure we could switch Texas out with Purdue and these stats don’t shift very much.

Elon Musk has more money (in some cases quite a bit more) than many Northeastern Blue blood families, but he and his family will never be Blue Bloods. Does this clear things up for you?
I agree that in CFB you should be able to lose Blue Blood status after several decades of mediocrity with no light at the end of the tunnel, but no new teams can be crowned "Blue Blood".
