Results so far in sec look great for Texas. I like this conference. We win most of the games and the only response is to denigrate the quality of the opposition (the sec). Good times.

SEC fans, don’t let 5-10 message board idiots ruin your idea of Texas and our fans. Most are rational, know football, and are not as idiotic as the media makes us out to be thinking we will win a natty every year.
We know the sec is the best conference. However, what’s misconstrued (and I hope every fan base is the same way) is we will not be afraid to take on the challenge and too many on here paint that as arrogance. It’s confidence and we want the smoke and are excited to be playing with fanbases as passionate as the sec.

100% true, part of that was the fact that the winner of Texas OU had a massive advantage due to the conference title game being split north and south. Had it been best record almost every year it would have been Texas, OU, and some Colorado, Nebraska and atm.
It’s our own fault for losing to OU in Dallas but had it truly been the best 2 teams in the big 12 OUs conference titles would have likely been less. This isn’t an excuse thread they beat our add and deserved it, just saying the divisions killed the chance for the true 2 best teams to play in the conference titles

There’s no denying revenue talks. OUs success led the conference but acting like Texas and atm didn’t have a bigger seat at the table that Iowa State would be ridiculous. I don’t make the rules but money always has and always will talk and any fan base acting like it doesn’t isn’t living in reality

This is correct. When the BigXII formed, Texas insisted on only allowing one Prop 48 player instead of multiple, which is how Osborne buttered his bread. It’s no coincidence Osborne retired when his last Prop 48 class ran out of eligibility.
