The NCAA would have eventually destroyed them with the no partial qualifiers rule, all the teams in the Big 12 just pushed their demise a little bit earlier than expected when they voted for no partial qualifiers allowed.
Texas just embarassed them many times when they faced them, and put the icing on the cake of their demise.
