It wasn't a consecutive game stretch but 2011 LSU had maybe the greatest regular season run of any college football team ever.
Here's a list of the teams they beat and what those teams were ranked when they played them...
2011 LSU beat these teams during the regular season:
beat #3 Oregon 40-27 (neutral site)
won @#25 Mississippi State 19-6
won @#16 West Virginia 47-21
beat #17 Florida 41-11
beat #20 Auburn 45-10
won @#2 Alabama 9-6
beat #3 Arkansas 41-17
beat #16 Georgia 42-10
but........
...lost 21-0 to #2 Alabama in the national championship game in New Orleans

Go to your room before we tell your mommy on you.
You're too young and dumb to talk to us.

Anyone with eyeballs knows who won both of those games after looking at the scoreboard at the end, idiot.
And by the way, our defense dominated your offense both times and even the smart Texas fans admit that. So uh...what does that make you?

Claiming this while including a loss is a different sort of take.

Are you a rival trying to make Texas fans look stupid ?

Did Alabama lose any of those?
In OP’s example, Texas took an L to a team for the 2nd time this season.
Yeh, lost the game @#6 Auburn which ironically is just about where Georgia was ranked when Texas lost to them in the SEC title game.
I like their chances against Arizona State but not as much against the Ohio State/Oregon winner

Imagine if that team had a quarterback. Even if we had AJ fricking McCarron we would have crushed yall.

This reminds me of that trophy they gave to Jimbo with the blank for the year of the national title. You list a six game stretch, of which you have played half the games, and one of which you lost. This is not even the greatest "stretch" of the 2024 season, which currently belongs to South Carolina.
Go play the games, then we'll talk. The greatest six game stretch may end at 4 games.
