I really hope the texas performances against utsa was just a hangover game against the win over osu and we really lock in against vols. And arch need to step up as a qb

Your defense will keep you in a lot of games. That should bold well against a QB making his 4th career start.

Arch has peaked. He is what he is and doesn't show much, if any, improvement over last year. I'm glad he didn't pick UGA. He's not bad, just not meeting expectations (which were absurdly high because of his name). If his last name was Johnson he would have been a 3-star out of HS and would probably be playing at Tulane or LA Tech. Texas defense better strap in and prepare for some tough games.

i figured someone would point this out after I posted. he started a couple games when Ewers was injured. and he looked great. nobody was talking about how Arch needed to step it up in 2024.

Arch started off great against UTSA, took that hard targeting hit that knocked off his helmet, and then couldn't hit water from a boat. He was likely concussed.
If Arch starts the Tenn game the way he started the UTSA game, and he is smart about sliding or getting out of bounds when he runs, then Texas wins by 14.
If we get inconsistent Arch, and Sark goes into his weird mental state where he is convinced Texas has the 1993 Dallas Cowboys o-line and calls the game that way, this could be a disaster.
