As much as I hate to agree, this is straight up fact.

Really? It took a miracle 3rd and 17 conversion from Burrow for LSU (according to many here to be the greatest team of all-time) to hang on to beat us in 2019.

You don't remember that game at all, do you?

That TD put LSU up by 14; you needed a TD with 15 seconds left to make it a one score game.

Besides, didn't Texas have a 1st and goal from the 4 yard line and fail to score ANY points on one of the early drives?

The SEC is for sure tough, but the last 2 members who joined, A&M and Missouri, had 2 of their best seasons in the past 30 the first 3 years after joining the conference.

A&M went 11-2 and 9-4 their first 2 years, They have only won 9 games once since 2014

Mizzou won 11 and 12 games their 2nd and 3rd year in the conference, and won the east twice

Let's not act like it's impossible to move into the SEC and be a 10 win team, because both A&M and Mizzou proved it can be done

Even better:

TEX
1st & Goal at LSU 8
(5:40 - 1st) Sam Ehlinger pass incomplete to Brennan Eagles

2nd & Goal at LSU 8
(5:33 - 1st) Sam Ehlinger run for 6 yds to the LSU 2

3rd & Goal at LSU 2
(5:10 - 1st) Sam Ehlinger pass incomplete

4th & Goal at LSU 2
(5:04 - 1st) Sam Ehlinger pass incomplete to Keaontay Ingram

LSU - INTERCEPTION
3 PLAYS, 1 YARD, 0:58

TEX
1st & Goal at LSU 4
(4:00 - 1st) Sam Ehlinger run for 2 yds to the LSU 2

2nd & Goal at LSU 2
(3:35 - 1st) Sam Ehlinger run for 1 yd to the LSU 1

3rd & Goal at LSU 1
(3:00 - 1st) Keaontay Ingram run for no gain to the LSU 1

4th & Goal at LSU 1
(2:20 - 1st) Sam Ehlinger run for a loss of 2 yards to the LSU 3

Two consecutive drives, sandwiched around a Burrow INT, Texas had 1st and goal and couldn't get any points out of it.

They screwed up the SWC but it took them some time. They wiped out the BDF rather quickly. What is the Vegas O/U on wrecking the SEC?

I'm not exactly sure if that helps or hurts the argument. That means Texas should have scored 6 and up to 16 points on those two possessions. If they score 10 points then they may well win that game right?

Of course they didn't and they screwed the pooch, but doesn't that mean Texas was pretty much equal to LSU in that game?

This.

If OSU had scored more points than LSU in 2008, they would have another national championship to their name. But...

They failed to score TDs and took all 4 possible attempts on each drive to do so. The logic then would be, best case scenario, is that they could have 6 more points.

The flip side is that out of LSU's recent past, 2019 was NOT a particularly good defense compared to others they've had. Texas was giftwrapped several mistakes by LSU's offense but stopped by their defense. I don't agree with the idea that those two short field drives proves Texas was the better team; on the contrary, it proves Texas needed a lot of luck for that game to be competitive.

You won't get any of these SEC honks to respond to simple facts like these that destroy their narrative. Historically, aggy is the definition of mediocre and they have a higher conference winning percentage in the SEC than they did in the SWC or Big 12.

Yeah, I'm not sure how getting 8 cracks at the goal line and failing to get any points at all is an indication that they were the better team.

Texas fans don't care how difficult the SEC will be.

1) Texas is immediately going to win more national titles in all sports than any other SEC school because they do already.

2) You have to go through the SEC to win a football championship - that roadblock isn't any different.

Texas can recruit a bit better in football now that they are scheduled to join the SEC. That's the only thing that really matters.

You're really a simple minded one. So LSU has never lost a game where they outplayed the opponent. Got it

If LSU could just beat Troy. See how bringing up random things from 5+ years don't matter in an argument often. Oh wait you don't

Your public ignorance noted. FSU came real close to having a good season in 2021.
#8 Notre Dame won by a FG in O/T
JSU lost by a FG
#15 Wake Forest and Clemson, FSU played solid second halves.
Beat Miami
Lost by a FG to Florida
3 losses by a FG.

donghorns recruiting classes have been ranked either 1st or 2nd in the Big 12 for the last ten years yet can't seem to win the conference. Chokelahoma has been doing more with less for years and has made tu their bitch. donghorns have had Top 10 nationally ranked recruiting classes for the last 6 years yet did not even have a winning record last season.

There are a lot bigger problems on the 40 acres than recruiting. That's the only thing that really.
