I’d rather them stay in the Big 12 because it’s easier path to the playoff.

Just because you feel this way doesn’t mean every other school does..

I may be remembering it wrong but I thought Muschamp left Texas voluntarily to be the HC at Florida

Austin’s downtown will explode in rioting over the next decade. It’s a powder keg

No thanks, we’re good. Waiting for the Pac to give us all our concessions and heading west.

Nope, wouldn't want to be in the SEC. Mostly geographical. Texas just isn't the South anymore.
Would love for LSU and Ark to come join the Big12.
OU, Ark, LSU, Texas in the same conference -- the four (capitol cities-ish) flagships all have a decent (some more ancient than others) football history, and Ark could probably benefit from being in that group.

Geez.
Please don’t encourage them.
Thanks.

Austin isn't what it used to be. Still lots of great breweries and such in the area, but downtown kind of sucks now.
Dallas downtown and near downtown used to suck and not its pretty great. San Antonio the same. Larger cities go through these trends. I'd bet on Austin becoming more livable before I'd bet on most smaller towns in Texas.

Now if we could just run off the aggys who’ve flocked to Austin.

Would you want to be in the SEC? Personally I'd love it.
Texas would be the worst thing that could happen to the SEC, they have killed every conference they have been in, by demanding to be treated differently than other members, ie getting the majority of conference payout, having their own tv package, not sharing revenue, and generally being the worst a-hole fanbase in college football

You don’t have any idea what you’re talking about (except for the last part).

You sound like a snowflake/pussy.
Grow a pair.
Maybe hire a lawyer when you review contracts.

I've been informed by good sources that this honor belongs to LSU, and will be able to verify that in the fall.

somehow I expect that from a longwhorn, but unfortunately, I do know what I am talking about. There was a reason Missouri, Nebraska, and Colorado left the big 12

. Arkansas this past season was the worst SEC team I’ve ever seen.
Even at the high school level?

Pussies and snowflakes. I'd expect a little more fearlessness from Alabama.

Think that may actually happen at some point. In hindsight id bet money they wish they caved last time. They are conference poor and Texas/Oklahoma would've boosted that quite a bit. The problem with Texas and why they'd rather take the ND path over anything is their arrogance, again similar to ND. They believe everyone should cater to them because of their money/alumni/academics when at this point that's really all they have going for them. All the major sports programs have trended down the past decade yet they still feel like people should bow down. Even Oklahoma is tired of their shite and those 2 are tied at the hip in terms of conference realignment.
Will be interesting to see where they fall when the mega conference transition happens.

They won't fall. They'll make the most of their situation.
They have been in the doldrums in the past decade and yet they still are doing fine, and still can turn it around.
I really am stunned at the bullshite myth nonsense some of you Nancys have about Texas. Just really odd. I'd expect it from the loony Ags -- it's part of their schtick.
But the rest of you guys? Weird.

Austin needs:
Serious infrastructure help
Ditto the APD and Travis County leadership
Panhandler enforcement
“I’m from Chicago” bumper sticker ilk to go away
Parking. Parking. Parking.
Taxi monopoly to die
Extremely freakish liberals to ... become aware
Out of control homelessness addressed
World class traffic ... will never disappear
Pollution. Ugh.
Affordable housing, compared to the far better abodes all over Texas
Lousy schools in AISD to adjust
Nutty politicians to tune into PBS and stay there
Run out the freaks
It makes me sad.
I’m a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and have deep roots in the Austin area.
But you couldn’t pay me to raise a family there.

Lot of brand new low post-count Vols around lately. Who all got banned from other teams?
