Still a lot of baseball to be played. Caution, aNm didn't look like the team that started out the season last week in Fayetteville. Should be a good series, but regardless, Texas has earned their ranking.

Aggy turnaround has definitely been impressive. Went from biggest fall from grace to arguably hottest team in SEC. Sure wish we hadn’t lost our ace but I’ll be happy just to win the series this weekend.

The top 7 teams on that list had to play Texas. Sorry we can’t play ourselves.

Did we have an easier SEC schedule?

Absolutely but to act like we weren’t a top team and just a product of our schedule is wild.

I've been saying for a while that it's simply time to give Texas baseball credit. Yeah, they've gotten some top teams at home, but those top teams have mustered exactly one win in those games. Baseball is baseball, anything can happen with off days for a pitcher or your best bat going cold. Managing to go 8-1 against LSU, UGA, and a hot Auburn team is evidence of a great team.

I also consistently say Texas doesn't have a great home field advantage because the fans suck. Too quiet and would rather simply put up a hand signal than make noise or cheer. So its not like Austin is an intimidating place to play.

They have Texas the softest sec baseball and football schedule in year 1-2 …… compare that to OUs schedule lol

I'm starting to think the turf might be a part of the HFA.. it will be interesting to see if Schloss changes his tune on grass or turf after this year is over..

I expect a great atmosphere this weekend.

Reminds me of how anytime Texas runs a train on the SEC, the schedule excuses start coming out of the woodwork.

I like your style of unapologetic posting.

Which means things may not go well for you over here, I'm sorry.

I can agree as a Texas fan a lot of fans are wealthy “We are Texas and we need to act like it” but we’ve gotten better. Not great but better.

This team just has an unwavering confidence about themselves and that they are never really out and just a few timely hits from flipping the script. It’s fun to watch and much more fun to see than what Pierce was putting out there.

Can’t wait to see what Schloss and Max do with our pitching staff to win these upcoming series we have with Spencer.

It seems Jonah Williams two sport athlete had answered the call in Max’s absence, wondering if someone will in our pitching rotation

Q: When are schedules made?
A: Before the Season

I’ve already let it be known I don’t think the schedule has made a very big difference in Texas’ results so far. But I will say this. If I’m making a Texas schedule that includes Florida, LSU, A&M and Ark before this season began and 3 of those are at their place I’m looking for a way to better split those up. And considering there was no way the conference was making you go on the road to one of those 3 (aggies) this year it gets a little suspicious. Downside is that all gets reversed next year.

Exactly. Schloss has got me to the point where I fear nothing. I realize this is foolish but how you can help but be amazed at the way this man goes head-on at a setback - and kicks its arse?

I'm expecting us to lose the next two series. Aggie will take 2 and Arky will take 2. But even if that happened, we're STILL a damn good team, and our post-season chances look good.

Why even care about the differences for conference baseball schedules? With 64 teams in the tournament, plenty of just ok teams will make it.

Of all the conferences Texas has destroyed in the past, the SEC may be the easiest to demolition. They some soft arse babies up in this conference.

Based on 2024 Win Totals, Texas actually has a harder road schedule than home schedule..

Bottom line.. you can slice and dice this anyway you want, but at the end of the day, you can only play the schedule in front of you. If you want to think that Texas was given a gift for a schedule, that's your right, but this proves otherwise..

I'm not going back and doing the last 5 years or something else, but if you want to, go for it.. Or you could just not get swept at Auburn..

What does 2024 have to do with this year? Plus, I am only suggesting that, so far, you got your harder teams at home and your easier teams on the road. You haven't disputed that.

Again, if you win the Arkansas series, I will be a believer in the Horns...

Considering all of this bitching is about schedules, are they made during the season? No, they're not, you fricking moron. I was pointing out that before the season started LSU's schedule wasn't any more difficult on paper. Congrats on OU being ranked, that's huge for y'all.

How is that not comparable?

Doesn't fit their narrative.

TEXAS sux because their now in the sec and it shows we had more competitive teams in the B12.

What does 2024 have to do with this year?

Schedules are created and balanced based on prior year win totals.. Surely there is a method to their madness.. It certainly isn't based on what they think is going to happen in a given year.. it's baseball and that would be impossible.

Preseason #1 A&M (8-10)
Current #1 Texas (16-2)

No one predicted that..

Georgia is 2-7 in their last 9 after looking like a juggernaut.

Arkansas has lost 2 series in a row, including their first home series loss since 2022.

Tennessee has lost 2 of their last 3 series at home.

Alabama has lost 4 of their last 5 series after they looked really good to start the year.

It's a strange year.. it seems for everyone but Texas, and I haven't figured out why yet.. Yes, our pitching is good, and we've also had a fair share of luck go our way (not including the injuries).. but I think we'll see some losses the next couple of weekends.

My expectation at Arkansas is 1 win. If we don't get that, so be it.. we'll still be a pretty good team.
