Vanover can and is able to play more productive minutes than he did right?

Yes, Musselman is very concerned with him getting exposed in pick and rolls on the defensive side. I also don't think he is going to play him a ton of minutes in games that are never in doubt. We need him healthy throughout the season, not in 20 point blow outs in the 2nd half.

The players should have played better in the last 8 or so mins but alot of that was on Musselman. We could have easily reached 90 if he just kept letting them play but he slowed it down a bunch with KK trying to run different sets. I believe he just wanted to use the live action has practice since the game was pretty much over at that point.

Great on Vanover. And honestly good on the other too, because it seemed like a whole new offense in a bad way those last 8 minutes- not just that we were shooting bad. At first I thought we were rushing things then slowing, it was just ugly. I don’t mind Muss trying it tho because like you said, the game was pretty much over at that point.

I mean as a whole the defense was actually very solid, especially in the 2nd half. They only scored 27.

It was better but a lot of missed shots on their side. Given our size and length, they look undisciplined to me.

Not bashing by any means, and surely a ton of this is just a chemistry/gel issue, just saying the team looks very Mike Anderson vs Mussiah to my eyes.

First 10 minutes of the 2nd half was a lot better for sure.

Good take for sure. Agree with all of this.

So much talent, size and ability. Just a little worried this team may be super frustrating down the stretch.

Def. trust Muss to figure it out with more practice and game time.

Last night was super promising for Moody. When he completely figures out how and when to takeover, along with the other guys figuring out their roles around him, this team will be tough to beat. With his athleticism, defensive ability and FT shooting, he's unquestionably "the guy" in my eyes.

Watched the replay last night and I'll be honest, I was expecting much worse based on what I had read on here. I guess it's not a terrible thing we've become so picky.

This is the most solid roster top to bottom I can remember. There's never a point in the game where I'm uncomfortable with the amount of possible production on the court. Very athletic across the board and stocked full of shooters. This team's gonna be scary when the young guys and transfers start meshing more.

Oh yeah. I would much rather have some concerns about "we tend to have some cold stretches" than "would we be able to beat Fayetteville High School if we played right now?"

I think, if we can keep some of the players from being one and done, that next year we will really be scary. As in contend for the SEC regular season title and make a very deep run in the NCAA tourney scary.

Its pretty clear this has been a factor as well. My friend was bitching to me at half being up 11. Some people are acting like this was a D2 team we were playing, not a team that is projected to compete for their conference title.

I like both of our last two opponents. UTA and UNT are both expected to compete for their conference title this season. I want the team to be tested against those sort of senior heavy teams who aren't going to roll over and play dead.

I would much rather have a challenging OOC schedule than sleep walk our way into the season only to crash and burn.

It just go really really ugly there at the end. Understand it happens.

Pretty confident this team is going to be deadly. As Ark said, the dry spell will be concerning in SEC play.

I'd like to think that Muss slowed them down so they'd take better shots. Much like Mike's teams, there don't seem to be any shots they don't like. I expect better from Muss.

Either way, this is a good team that's going to win a lot of games and put players in the NBA. My concern is that it may not be good enough to compete for titles and go far in the NCAAT. Arkansas Basketball has reminded me of Wimp Sanderson's Alabama squads for a while now, in that they always had good players who never won much.
