In the SEC we both don't have to carry a conference full of parasites and complainers. Here we have big brands and it's nice being with other big fish, tbh.
Thanks for the shout out. Nothing bigger than the MIZ brand eh?

This is interesting. Are you referring to the passion of the players/teams or the passion of the fans? Or maybe both. How does it compare to the Big 12?
Both. Love the great fan support in the conference and the talent across the board. If you had asked me, a few years ago, where I wanted us to move, I would have told you the B1G. I'm so glad we didn't move there. I love this conference.
As for the comparison? There's not one. The only big time program we played yearly in the Big 12 was Oklahoma and we played on a neutral site. None of the road games were particularly hostile, other than Texas Tech. There's just no comparison.

You'll never win anything in the sec" "The sec is a grind there are no weeks off" "You only win because of your schedule" "You're not in the big 12 any more" "You aren't sec ready" .... "God those texas fans are arrogant"
So tell us exactly what have you won since being in the SEC name of those SEC championships did the Longhorns have won?

Texas has always been competitive with the SEC, but was down in the 2010s which some misleadingly use as the “body of evidence”. And even when down we had a Sugar Bowl win over UGA and a very competitive game with LSU’s best team ever (with Burrow).
Regardless we are thankful to be in the SEC and for having some success thus far. It has been the best conference in recent years and we needed to be a part of it going forward. Great competition, tv coverage and game atmospheres.

“It Just Means Less”
New SEC slogan after cancelling softball conf title game so early in the weekend. That was weak af.
Overall its great. All the football games are so much more exciting. We had one of the hardest FB schedules in history and were not prepared for it. But will be this year so am looking forward to being competitive. Everyone who attended away games was super happy about the better experience compared to B12 away games.
Our BB team got a bonus bump being in the conf and Porter finally made playoffs. And he got some great players for next year.
Baseball is still ongoing but thats another gauntlet of games week in and week out.
We left a dying conf so it was way better. I think we gave up some revenue in first year but should get full shares starting this year.
Our mens programs all need to improve, and football and basketball are. Baseball is just on another level we have a great program but so many moving parts in that sport.
Womens programs came ready to compete. Our BB coach is good and snagged the #1 recruit. Softball is a new young team and exceeded expectations so far. Gymnastics won the Natty and will lose a few studs so have to see how they handle that. But all 3 have great coaches.
As a fan I have no regrets and am glad we moved.

When did I say we won anything? I said we are competing, and we are. Did you even read the post?

But Texas has actually accomplished a lot throughout their history. The other program…..not so much.

Dominating

Getting the shite kicked out of us by South Carolina in the first ever meeting with them, taking another loss from LSU and letting one get away against Missouri, mmm mmm so good! Can't wait for another season!

Then their idea of dominating and mine are two very different definitions.
We are competing. That's the only accurate statement one could make.

I mean, the thought of playing Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, TCU, Texas Tech, Baylor and so on week in and week out is pretty fricking depressing
