I'm all for messing with the Aggies, but I like what Sumlin said here. You have to bust your arse to keep up with the big boys in the SEC and every second spent worrying about UT is a second lost to Saban and Miles within your own division.

Most of the A&M fans I talked to in BR last fall seemed to understand all of this pretty well.

I like this.

Basically, Sumlin is saying the Big Twatever is in the rear view mirror and he's focused on playing in the toughest division in the land.

^^^^This right here. I knew there were some other teams fans here who see what we as Aggies see.

Of all the things to troll Aggies with, that quote aint one of them...

Sumlin has been consistent with this message since day 1

A worthy pursuit!

Real life really gets in the way of the notions formed here, doesn't it? If I relied on this place only, I'd think LSU fans were mostly lunatics. I work with more than a few and... strangely, they're good people.

Texas A&M's reality: The only team in the SEC who hasn't lost to a team outside the final top 15 since joining the conference.

well it's a good thing not many SEC teams are frequently ranked in the top 15!!!

No aggie on this board has said we are a better program now or historically. What A&M fans have said is that they're excited about the future, and for good reason.

Quit being so insecure, I know college football is all you have and FSU won this year but it will be ok.

That's not changing anytime soon. Another beat down in College Station next year.

Coach Sumlin is a badass. Most coaches wouldn't be confident enough in the direction of the program to admit the facts about the current reality. And, the fact is, we are behind LSU and Bama in recruiting. We have to keep improving. He knows that, and he knows that he'll get it done!

Aggies have been saying that for 40 years. A&M was a mediocre program, with occasional success, in the SWC and Big12; it will be a mediocre program, with occasional success, in the SEC.

Yup, Apples and Apples. Just like our time in the SEC, during our time in the Big 12/SWC we were the sexist program in the state and the best recruiting program in the state.

Or not.

It's some, not most and while we do seem to have a lot of insufferable idiots, we have a whole lot more rational purple and gold loving Tigers.

Don't tarnish the whole base because of a few retards and trust me every fanbase has them, they just ALL seem to congregate here on TD...

I think y'all might have been in the past, but the new generation is pretty bad. The amount of people that thought LSU would get Speedy Noil, even though A&M utilizes WRs better because LSU is a power running team, was quite startling. The LSU fans that post on the rant aren't as bad, but the homeristic groupthink on TD is pretty gump level.
