I've been reading over the board this week and apparently the barners think they've got this one in the bag. Well lucky for you Auburn fans, I'm here to make the let down on Saturday a little easier with this warning: Texas A&M will win this game. Anyone who actually pays attention to football can see this coming, and here's why:
1) Lead up to the game
Advantage: Texas A&M
A&M is coming off a bye week and a glorified scrimmage while Auburn is fresh off of two hard fought, squeaker wins vs. South Carolina and Ole Miss. Both of these games have taken their toll on Auburn and they'll come limping into this game. Meanwhile, the time off has allowed A&M to shake up the lineup and get some fresh legs on the field.
2) The season thus far
Advantage: Push
Texas A&M and Auburn have four common opponents currently and have had very similar outcomes in these games:
Texas A&M @ South Carolina - 52-28 A&M
South Carolina @ Auburn - 42-35 Auburn
24 point win on the road vs. a 7 point win at home? Easy choice here.
Advantage: Texas A&M
Texas A&M vs. Arkansas - 35-28 A&M
Arkansas @ Auburn - 45-21 Auburn
A larger win for Auburn here, but this was at home while A&M had to play on a neutral field. This one is too close to call.
Advantage: Push
Texas A&M @ Miss. St. - 31-48 MSU
Auburn @ Miss. St. - 23-38 MSU
Almost the exact same outcome versus the #1 team in the country in their house. No question here.
Advantage: Push
Ole Miss @ Texas A&M - 20-35 OM
Auburn @ OM - 35-31 AU
Auburn finally gets the nod here after a simultaneous illegal horse collar and helmet to helmet saves their victory.
Advantage: Auburn
3) Overall history
Advantage: Texas A&M
Texas A&M has a three to one advantage over Auburn. In fact, Auburn had never even beaten Texas A&M until last year's miracle. What makes Auburn think they're going to turn around a matchup that is so lopsided in favor of the Aggies so easily?
Texas A&M destroying Auburn's best player evar
4) The element of surprise
Advantage: Texas A&M
Last but not least A&M holds the element of surprise. After a little too much trillness mid-season, the A&M faithful are getting the guy they've been clamoring for since the off-season: the number one QB recruit in the country, Kyle Allen. A&M coaches admitted they kept the play calling as vanilla as possible for KA's first start, utilizing more traditional pro style formations for almost the entire game instead of the air raid style spread that will be employed versus Auburn. That means there's zero film on what's coming to JHS on Saturday. Yikes. Meanwhile, Texas A&M has seen the Gus Bus's gimmicks before and will be ready.
It should be a good game on Saturday, but it's clear to all but the most casual of observers: The Texas A&M Aggies will emerge victorious on Saturday. Good luck to the Tigers

Unfortunately this isn't where the game is played. Here we both suck...on the field only A&M sucks.

This post made me smile. One of the most logical trolls I've ever seen.

Ask LSU about a freshman starting his first SEC game in Jordan Hare stadium. It's gonna be a bad day for K. Allen and the ags.

This is not a cork soaking contest. A&M will lose.

Bad day is relative. You and everyone else might call it a bad day, but compared to last week he could have a great day...and still lose by 20+ points.
