Winning in Baton Rouge will be tough and if each end with two losses, LSU could easily hold the tie breaker with a home win

Tiebreakers are only used to place a division winner in Atlanta.

If we both have 2 losses we will both just be t2 in the West.

Only reason I think aTm would be over LSU is due to schedule.

I agree. But A&M does have the more favorable schedule.

Sorta like bama is almost a lock to get to Atl next year due to the weakest schedule in the SEC (along with bama being very good of course, but there are other very good teams also).

Incoming stock LSU fan argument!!

Its always funny with the Ags. We can exclude our best decade and still be ahead of Aggie by any objective measure even while including their best (circa 1930) but they still want to be called equals. You are not and will never be our equal.

Ok, we've got the historical part covered. So what does this have to do with the future?

1. A&M doesn't need Manziel to have a Heisman season to win games in the SEC this year. We have a stronger overall offense due to a deeper stable of RBs.

2. Nobody gives a shite about "catching LSU in our lifetimes". That is the same old played out schtick that most of us we have all grown tired of. If would carry more weight if A&M didn't shatter all those pre-season expectations last season.

3. I am all for those Tiger fans who just want to see how it plays out on he field in BR this year. Head to head, mofos. What matters are the present teams.

4. A&M has an easier schedule on paper, no question. That plays a significant role in end of season standings. And that was the original question.

Yeah, a good coach in a great situation (all the tools to succeed available) never turns a program around

JoePa at PSU
Saban at LSU
Bill Snyder at KSU
Spurrier at UF
Bowden at FSU
Beamer at VT

A&M has everything but the coach. Excuse me, had everything but the coach

Are you saying you're deeper at RB than LSU?

You do against Alabama, LSU, UF, UGA and USCe. Which you could meet any of these teams if you got past LSU and Bama.

Let's not forget you lost to LSU and UF with JFF having a very literal Heisman season. You think if he falls off you will improve as a team? Seriously? He IS your team.

With no consideration of any changes. Ok.

Also, being better in the past effects recruiting.

Affects, sure, but determines? That was my point.

Why was Penn State's recruiting class so bad this year?

It's the best way to predict the future if you don't believe in critical thinking.

Not doubting you. But as much as I hate the man, Saban has processed many-a-good coach in his day.

And it's not like LSU is a slouch.

Poooor Bruinnin is either too lazy to read the whole thread or too dumb to remember what he read

using history as a way to predict the future IS critical thinking.

You know anything about investing?

But just to appease you, I'll use this "critical thinking" you speak of.

LSU has out-recruited aTm for a long time. Therefore they have better players. Therefore they're better.

The outlying factor here is scheduling and LSU's off-season changes which are yet to be seen how they will play out.

go look at recruiting. Compare your RB's and ours.

Do you have trouble with reading? The man said we don't need JFF to win in the SEC. I pointed out that you still dropped 2 SEC games while JFF did in fact win the Heisman.

A&M had one season with Sumlin and had a better year than LSU did. (11-2 vs 10-3, Top 5 finish vs Top 15 finish, Heisman, Outland, etc)

I find recent history is a better predictor than ancient history. Don't you?

Cas4t, we have 2 5* RBs on our team and neither are even the starter.

We are 4-5 deep at RB of studs. LSU has had the deepest RBs recently but not this year, buddy

Man A&M better go on a Spurrier at UF-esque run or there will be an awful lot of depressed aggies here soon.

It's fine to be optimistic about your program but good lord pump the brakes a little guys and show a little respect for the great football schools in this conference and your division. It's like you're just expecting all of to roll over like Baylor or Kansas.

Is this for real?

Are you using a case of child molesting effecting the future of the football program to justify that LSU's history means nothing for the future?
