Last night was a perfect example of how A&M could have possibly run the tables in the Big 12 and beaten BAMA in the NCG - both undefeated.

I'm happy a playoff is just a few years off because we will most likely get a Big 12 vs Pac 12 National championship game this year...

And does anyone think K-State would be undefeated right now if they played A&M's schedule...?

Good for A&M - just left the Big 12 a little too early. I'd like to know some Aggies' fans thoughts on this...

Got this from the tiger rant figured I'd bring it here.

Makes for an interesting discussion

Maybe. Klein is pretty good.

And considering LSU and UF are better than aTm, it would have been a crime to have them in the NC this year because they're not one of the best teams in the country.

We would dumpster KSU. We would have to deal with a bunch of shootouts against other teams, however.

I mean.. Tamu did have 2 losses already. What makes people think they wouldn't have at least had one loss in the Big12?

I thought it was a great game and give A&M credit for the win but give Saban that much time off to prepare and I think the Tide rolls TAMU in the MNC.

Bygones.
We're exactly where we're meant to be.
I'm more than fine with my university/football program surrendering a [hypothetical] crystal trophy in exchange for where we are now (SEC) and where we plan to be (a much stronger athletics program).
Good riddance to the past; raising my glass to the future.

KSU would be a likely win. We match up well with them.

If A&M were still in the big XII, I'm not sure we escape without losses. Look at La Tech this year. We don't have the depth to face a spread. Not even close.

Even last night, when Bama started drinking the passes we had more holes than Swiss cheese.

Just different styles of play within the leagues.

My Bama troll answer would be this:

Losing to a team at home in November is not indicative of how they'd play in a BCSNCG.

My real answer would be :
id be singing Johnny Freaking Football tunes for a year.

completely agree. remember that Bama had just played a tough game against LSU. With a month off to rest players and gameplan for A&M Bama would win easily.

After the past 2 weekends, I believe you can still make the claim that LSU might be the better team. Both teams have made improvements since you guys' game. Florida cannot make that argument.

If I perceive your statement correctly, then there's no point in crowning a national champion. Alabama finished 10th place 2 seasons ago, but at the end of the year they were better than 10th in the nation.

Who said we were vaunted? I knew y'all would justify this loss somehow. Never a matter of fault with you fellas.

LSU has improved greatly on offense recently and I would relish the opportunity to play UF again. But they did beat us and I'm not going to act like Alabama fans. They deserve credit, they have one loss, and they beat us.

We don't beat Bama if we don't play LSU and Florida first.

If they stayed and played like they are now, I think a&m would've run the table in the big 12. But I think getting out of the big 12, has a&m playing at a different level.
