Just talked with one of my buddies who’s a big donor, it’s 100% Aranda.

While I place this somewhere in the realm of a frat buddies Dad assuring you that Chip Kelly's signature is drying and he'll be there Friday at the latest ... the melt from it would be almost too much.

Arkansas will enjoy Chief - that's all they are getting
Venables is going nowhere, which will become readily apparent after signing day
Think it is Elko, Foster, or Aranda

Foster was coming to A&M three years ago, before Chief threw his hat in the ring. We chose poorly at that time. Hopefully not again

As for Arkansas and Venables - it is Arkansas. Neither program is getting him, don't give a damn who the HC is

The plane that picked up Fisher from Florida is scheduled to depart to South Carolina at 2:55CT today.

I know A&M likes to think they have a bottomless pit of money, but paying assistant coaches handsomely is kind of a Dabo thing. Venables would start a serious bidding war.

Foster may be a more realistic get.

Maybe Venables isn't getting HC bites he wants? Wants to prove himself at another place

Maybe. Every coach has a different situation.

In 2017, DC at Clemson to DC at A&M is a step down, not a lateral move. The only benefit would be that A&M could probably win that bidding war. Maybe Venables can turn them into a beast, maybe he falters and fails like Chavis did.

I think they should go and get Bo Pelini, personally.

Which they will lose if we decide he’s who we want. Almost every program in this country would lose to us in a bidding war.

Venables isn’t leaving Clemson, except for a HC position
