Actually, he probably wants to pick up the pieces of what the PoS left. We upgraded in coaching for sure.
Lost a coach 9 outs away from the first title in 85 years for a guy who has never been to Omaha

Big time upgrade for sure!!

Yes and no.

I still think Schloss is a fantastic baseball coach. I think anyone saying otherwise is dumb. But he showed his true colors. The more information you find out, the more an opinion can change.

Yep. Im so hopings it's Heevner. For many reasons, i even value him above Mingione and O'Connor.

frick ULL.
The "University of Louisiana at Lafayette" (University of Southwest Louisiana) is basically a "Junior College" with a ridiculous "University" designation.

Southwest Louisiana Junior College at Lafayette is more appropriate.

Most of these tiny little Colleges in Louisiana should be converted to Junior Colleges. (All of em except for LSU, Tulane, Louisiana Tech, Grambling (HBCU) and Southern. (HBCU)

Integrity matters, unless you are a whorn. Also, the DBU coach doesn’t have that kind of talent and still beat the crap out of you losers.

Besides, it could still be O’Conner. Probably one of the two. Both are better coaches than the PoS, and better men as well

Why not the Dallas Baptist coach?

Even people that know him and like him say his church school player rules will never work at a public university, even a conservative university.

This talk is all smoke by the same people that wanted Aggies Chad Morris as head football coach at A&M.

Aggie would never hire an in conference head coach, especially not from a rival.

That's dirty, or so they've said.

No problem with hiring from in conference.

The sleeze is:

Taking another job and recruiting for another school while your current employer is paying you to be Coaching for a National Championship.

Giving a great acting job about loving current school and yelling at reporters who question you about it. Saying "I'll never speak to you again".

tu announcing their coach is fired the morning of championship game.

I’d never hire a t-sip. You have to watch your back and they are generally worthless … especially the younger generation

I will agree with you here, if we ever see any evidence that proves it.

Every coach that has ever left a job said he loved his previous job. Elko said the same of Duke days before he left for A&M, so that isn't really a big deal.

As for the reporter, coaches treat reporters like shite all the time. I was here and on TexAgs Monday night and very few Aggies actually cared about that, until Schloss decided to leave.

Many of them liked the passion.

Who you got?

Hear Brad Bohannon is available and ready to get back into coaching. He would be a great coach that you could get on a great discount since money is an issue right now with aTm.

Money is apparently not an issue at A&M. The PoS screwing is over galvanized the donors. I’d like to see us save most of it for players.

I don't want him. I prefer a younger guy. It's also one of the reasons I don't want VA's coach.

Heefner is running an amazing program. As reported on Texags, he was 24-28 all-time vs. Schloss at TCU, and 2-1 against him in the NCAA tourney.

Heefner turned down Texas when they came calling before hiring Pierce.

He has taken DBU to 2 Super Regionals and has made the NCAAs 10 years straight. He has an all-time NCAA tourney record of 24-28, with victories over Texas, Oklahoma, Virginia, Florida, Oregon St., Arizona, and many others.

Most important to a shell-shocked A&M, he is supposed to be an outstandingly moral and personable guy who really relates to his players. complete opposite of Schloss.

We need this guy, and I hope it's him.
