Don't understand why Sumlin called off the dogs near the end of the 3rd qtr. Even still I still didn't believe the class of this team could do what it just did even with TAMU taking pressure of the necks of UCLA.

How do they not keep giving the ball to the Rbs there? Running game looked good in the first half. Questionable play calling for sure. Ucla had some unreal luck as well, 2 4th down conversions, the long pass through the defenders hands, etc.

He may be even dumber than Les Miles. Even after UCLA had three straight TD drives, he failed to go back to what had worked so well -- aggressive defense & running the ball on offense. Instead, they continued to play "prevent" defense, call passing plays (likely to be incomplete, stopping the clock) and leave 15-20 ticks on the play clock every snap. Any half-smart high school coach could've managed the 2nd half of that game better than Sumlin and his staff did.
