#6 almost screwed up royally on the kick off. He just caught it and casually dropped it showboating. Another USC player had to run over and down it then the refs blew it dead.

I noticed that and the commenters completely missed it.
I don't know if I would call it showboating but it was certainly careless.
That said, the play is supposed to be blown dead as soon as the returner gives himself up. (He doesn't have to take a knee. Even a movement that resembles a person taking a knee will cause the play to be blown dead. Clearly the official didn't interpret the returner's actions as giving himself up.

USC doesn’t have an offense. They just have A&M on defense.
