Yeah, they did try to balance the schedules. There's no conspiracy.

But what should have been a balanced schedule most times in the last 10 years is all out of whack now because (a) Ole Miss and Mizzou broke the bank to have their best rosters of all time by miles, and (b) Florida is suddenly arse my dude.

The assumption that 2024 would be similar to the last 10 years was a bad one.

What's completely indefensible is seeing how lopsided this turned out, and deciding to just run it back in 2025.

A&m had more five stars than most of the teams they played last year. Didn't help them

Texas returns 4 of 5 o-line starters (including a Left Tackle who will be a first round pick) and an experienced QB who beat Bama on the road by double digits and just took a team to one play away from the national title game.

OU has a lot of taleneted players, but has a new QB playing behind a new o-line with new o-line backups. Teams with new QBs and new o-lines tend to not do well in any conferece, much less the SEC.

If OU gets to 8 wins, that will be very impressive.

You guys had one of the worst secondary in college football and you squeaked by a bunch of one score Big 12 games. Man you guys can drink koolaid. You would think your school is Thanos.

Yards per attempt

To the uneducated mind that would seem to be the case. To scholars like us, we see that Texas was thrown on much more than most teams because opponents couldn't run the ball.

Well with how everyone talks, I would hope Texas isn't up 3 scores at halftime in SEC play, then lets off the pedal ( Much like Okie State in the Texas Bowl)

Our 4th team QB took them to a wire. See you don’t know anything about football trying to be disingenuous about the game. Melt.

Our 3rd team was playing and almost won. You guys almost lost to them with your first team. Ouch. Let’s here the excuses.

Did this guy really just say we almost lost the big 12 championship game?

There is some delusion.

You’re the ones parading how Oklahoma almost losing to our 3rd team proves the Big 12 is so great.

No, I was drawing an example of how when a team is up a lot and lets off the pedal, it allows the other team to get back into the game.

No one took anything off the pedal. In your mind they did bc you hate A&M.

We know OU doesn’t do that to A&M.

See, you are actually making sense. Its not conspiracy rather the discussion should be why they didn’t make some tweaks to their method. They actually tried to do the right thing, but they needed to use some recency bias to even out some outliers.

Good post, I agree with all you had to say.

Besides horn vs Georgia, you guys will have way better games to watch. I wouldn’t be surprised if you guys get record rating from everyone watching you guys play Tennessee, @ Auburn, @Ole Miss, @Mizzou, @LSU. Tennessee, Ole Miss, LSU are basically potential Top 15 offenses. High scoring games probably.

Bama and LSU have my attention the most. But this is the SEC, so that's how it should be. I'd feel much better about closing the year if LSU was in Norman.
