Te'o completely whiffed in this game. I did not see him make a tackle or defend a pass in the NC game. He was completely overwhelmed. It appears that the media just annointed him because he played for ND.

Keving Minter, Jarvis Jones, and C.J.Mosely were all better LB's than what I saw last night when Te'o had to play against competition.

Needs to hand them over to Jarvis Jones (best LB) and Clowney (best Def player) after T'eo was MIA!

Everyone was bashing CJ Mosley because he doesn't play the run, as well. Mosley blitzed the gap once or twice and obliterated Reddick/Wood.

I could make a fairly substantial list of front 7 players I would prefer to have over Manti Te'o ... I don't need an "emotional leader" on my team if he can't tackle.

I wonder how much of this is due to the overall talent level of SEC OLs vs NDs OL and how much is Mosley actually not able to play the run?

NDs OL was not impressive last night and can't shake a stick at even some of the more mediocre SEC OLs

If he played in the SEC he would be an average player.

2nd or 3rd All-Sec Team at best.

Really, about the only tackles he made were when a running back stepped on his chest and he hung on until help arrived.

from Andy Staples'SI article this morn...

"After Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o -- who finished second in Heisman Trophy balloting -- dove at Lacy and came up with air and watched as T.J. Yeldon escaped his grasp to convert a third down, SEC fans wanted to know two things: How did Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones finish behind Te'o in Heisman voting? And how did Alabama's C.J. Mosley, the best linebacker on the field on Monday, not even crack the top 10?"

Obviously I was not the only one who saw it that way.

This is easy to figure out. Did you watch any of the Manti Te'o highlight reels? He didn't get blocked... like ever. Alabama had someone make contact with him on almost every running play. He can't get off a block.

Just more evidence that the Heisman loses a little more credibility each year - A trophy for media darlings.

First time I saw a highly decorated LB (or any defensive player) get pancaked on a straight up block from scrimmage as opposed to a blind side hit.
