Pruitt didn’t get fired until after the signing period. I don’t think the investigation was even public though I don’t remember

He is listed as offers from ole miss, Arky, Auburn, Florida. Shitty to do this but long term it’s likely better for both parties.

We pulled Trae Elston out of there and he was an absolute headhunter. If you remember he was the one that knocked the feces out of Dak in the Egg Bowl when Dak came back his senior season to beat big brother only to end his career a loser with a case of red arse both literally and figuratively.

I feel like Oxford is pretty good about producing SEC caliber players for a school it’s size. Tennessee needs to “repair” that relationship and now they’re having to keep a clean nose due to getting caught bigly

Not sure on the day before signing day. At least I don't recall it.

There were no other SEC schools mentioned. Is he not an SEC talent? The coach shouldn't be needing to convince the media that he can play at Tennessee.

Number 11 in Alabama on Rivals and 19 on Scout.

It isn't like it was a pipeline to UT. The talented kids from this school choose Auburn, with the occasional kid going to Bama.

Kwon Alexander went to LSU. Clay Webb went to UGA.

Tennessee currently has offers out to 2023 OG Bradyn Joiner and high 4* DB Trequan Fegans, both from Oxford.

Bama did it to Darius Philon on signing day. Kid was their first commit and was told not to take other visits. He didn’t and on signing day with a party in progress he was told his offer was pulled with only a gray shirt offered. He was devastated. Hogs rescued him and he turned out to be a great player

Apparently Pruitt’s staff hadn’t contacted him in several months. At this point I don’t know why the kid would be surprised he wasn’t going to be part of the class. Pruitt should’ve parted ways sooner - I don’t blame Heupel for this.

Blatant lie. Philon still had a full scholarship offer. He was asked to enroll in January 2013 because he was physically unable to play in 2012.

Also a lie. He knew about the grayshirt offer two weeks before signing day. And he still had a full scholarship offer.

Only 212 and slow as is.

I know nothing about the dude. Just a cursory glance at his profile. He may play faster than his measurable s would indicate and I’d bet he gets a scholarship somewhere. Shitty thing for ut to do at this minute regardless but I could see why jh would go in a different direction.

You ma’am, are VERY confused. Offer WAS pulled on signing day at his party. Gray shirt offered. Quit being Saban apologist.

Every school in this conference has done this. Mullen just did it to one of our commits and he’s been committed over a year. It is what it is.

Oh yeah. I forgot how that went down. Figures Bama and Tenner would do that. Both the most chicken shiite programs in the SEC, if not in the entire country.

Says the reason is eligibility. If he had other offers and didn’t jump when Pruitt was fired then the problem very likely is still grades. We’re not turning him down because we want to.

You should really call Darius and tell him because he’s on record saying that didn’t happen at all.

Not even the “first commit” part of your statement is true according to the man himself.

Philon sets the record straight

The razorbacks go into Alabama and other states and basically conduct their own scavenger hunt for what's left. Rejections, the numbers game, injuries, grey shirts, whatever, you guys make your living on finding the best of the bargain basement bunch of the SEC. Certainly, the days of Arkansas going into texas and fighting for the best of the best are long gone with the SouthWest conference. My guess is that Pittman has already been in contact with this tight end.

You really shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you.

I actually talked to him while he was shopping at my store 2 weeks after signing day. It was also widely reported in the local media. I stand by what the man told me to my face.

He's already admitted he lied about it back then to make himself feel better about taking the Arkansas offer.
