Bought by Conagra Foods out of Chicago, IL in 2012. They shut down their Dickson, TN plant a few years ago. They moved operations to Jackson, TN (relatively close to Memphis) and have been producing crap since that time.
While Jimmy Dean Foods Headquarters is located in Newbern, TN...they were bought by Hillshire sometime back. A portion of their sausage is actually made in Texas instead of Tennessee.

Not Honorable Mention to Bentons...because this was a Sausage post. If we were just focusing on pork products, Benton's would be #1...hands down.

I keep a bag handy in the freezer for a quick breakfast for my kid when my wife works weekends. I only eat them after midnight when I'm drunk and stoned.
