Hoke may be a good DL coach. Unfortunately for Tennessee, he will be only be there for one year because Butch is not winning the East to save his job. That fact makes him taking the Tennessee job quite puzzling.

I'm no Lyle lover, but he doesn't have to win the East to keep his job

What would he have to do IYO? The consensus I've seen among UT fans is next year is East Championship or coaching change.

If Blackburn is the AD, I don't see him surviving 7-5, and maybe not even 8-4. If it's Fulmer, it probably doesn't matter.

Where was Hoke after leaving Michigan? Or is this is first job since Michigan?

I would say 8-4 saves his job. Also depends on who we hire as AD

If TN keeps him after 8-4, y'all really have fallen from the mountain top. This is the worst the SECe has ever been and he still Hasn't won >8 regular season. Hell Fulmer did better at the end

Also how have you not hired a new AD yet?

I expect he will be retained by Butch's replacement.

If Tennessee loses to Florida, Georgia, and Alabama next season, Butch Jones should never coach another game. No reason at all to let him finish out the season and pad his win total to win over the simpletons.

Nah Fulmer did not do better. Two 5-7 seasons bookending a nine win season and a ten season.

I liked Fulmer a whole lot more though.

I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with it. This is on Haslam and Anderson.

No doubt they are involved, but she has made it clear that she will have a say.

I've seen more which makes me think she isn't pushing the issue at all.

I wrote in Jesse Ventura, just because I love his voice.

Regardless, we both did our civic duty.
