I like our QB too......But he's only played 3 games since high school and now he faces a defense loaded with pro prospects. Texas will make him beat them as they load the box to stop our running game. O line give him some time and we got a shot.

I've been to a day game at Neyland. They're still pretty raucous and they'll play Rocky Top a hundred times even if they're down by 30.

I would be very surprised if Manning doesnt play good. He is ready and it’s a bigger spot for the vols freshman QB. I would be more worried about that than Manning

We have / had plenty of money, we didn't join for money. That was not why Texas joined the SEC.
the Big12 was a dying conference and our recruits were leaving Texas for the SEC and BIG10 and we were sick of playing schools who did not prioritize football or athletics. You will never know what its like to be forced into a road trip for multiple decades to Ames, Manhattan, Lubbock, etc. It sucked.

Probably my biggest gripe about Neyland is this. So deflated when we get down and it never really truly recovers even if we get up. It's weird and different. I dunno.

I was at the 2011 LSU @ Tenn game with all the build up from how the 2010 game ended. Even with LSU commanding the game, Tenn fans were loud. I had a great time at the tailgates before and after the game. Very cool environment inside and outside the stadium.
