VOLS have painted the rock for kroots for as long as it has existed

There is a large rock on campus near fraternity row and students can paint anything they want on there. A lot of the stuff end up being sports related, sometimes opposing fans sneak in and paint it (some UK fans painted it blue before the b-ball game a few years ago). So whenever a big recruit comes to town, they’ll paint a message on there for him. For example

Painting The Rock on campus is a University tradition. Students do that for our many of our new athletes.
