You should stop feeling sorry for yourself.
You realize, at one time we had an 8k seat arena and a 50k seat football stadium not too long ago.
You get better and money comes in. Bottom line. You stay the same and the money coming in stays the same.
I wonder what kind of increase MSU football saw after Mullins won 9 games a year ago? I bet it didn't stay the same, huh bundy? Some how that program is doing a stadium renovation. How did that happen Al?

Stans is the best coach in Ms. State history, these are their glory years. They are not going to fire that and go back to being a NIT bubble....wait.
Stans has been better than anything you guys have had since you fired Nolan.

I could see you all bringing in an up and coming, young coach who figures out you're in a talent rich state. You might not keep him for a Stansbury-esque tenure but you can build up to a point where you can land someone respectable who will stay eventually. I really do believe that.

Renardo goes down and his teammate ignore him. He is beloved by all, truly!

What's sad is it's tough to even know if Renardo's injury is severe.

We have a ton of talent in MS. Stans can recruit it, he just can't coach it. He is the worst preparation/floor coach ever.

Which is? Longest standing coach in the SEC to not make it past the first weekend of the NCAA Tourney?

Everyone in the gym knew that Nardo wasn't hurt, he was just tired and knew faking an injury was the only way to get a break. I truly believe that.

So if we go 25-9 this year and don't make the sweet 16 we should fire Stans?
Records don't mean a whole lot if you don't make something worth bragging about. A 25-9 team should win the first two games in the tourney.

Sadly for MSU, the NCAA trips are the same since 2000.
Arkansas will be back. During the late 70s and most of the 80s, we went through this same type of lull. We then hired Nolan and he got us back to going to Final Fours.

Established coaches, meaning coaches who have taken multiple schools to sweet 16s/elite8s/further do not normally leave their program unless it is for a "destination job" which are few and far between in CB. So yeah, it would be an up and comer for Ms. State unless there is a great coach out there with Ms. State ties we are all unaware of.

Uh, no.
His resume doesn't compare to Mike's.
There are not many who are worse than Pel and Heath, no arguments there, although Heath was very "stansish" and we canned his arse for it.
