1-0 versus Stans.
We will split the season and have a better seed in the NCAA tourney than Arky.

Plus only a sweet 16 in that time period, then the NCAA made false allegations against the program...
That is what took our momentum more than anything, the Pate/Sunday scandal.

How many tourney's has Stans been to vs Arkansas and two terrible coaches?
You're probably about to brag about a West championship now, aren't you? Those mean jack shite when you lose in the tourney.
You say Stans is good, yet say Arkansas is "bad" yet MSU hasn't really been any better than Arkansas in what is considered down years for us.

I think you missed the part where I said I hate Stans and do not think he is a good coach. You are switching the argument. The argument is that Arky hasn't been worth a shite in that time frame either. Quit acting like they were.

Brady wasn't an up and coming coach. He was a guy who finally put it together with the right guys. I hate to use the term lightning in a bottle but it kind of was.
If Stansbury doesn't get out of the first weekend with this team, he's completely hit a plateau. Sometimes you have to accept that some guys can't get over the hump and break into the NCAA Tournament with a good run even if it's just occasionally. And if you can't get an established coach and don't want to spend the money you can still find a way without Stans.

This is what we ran into with Heath.
Struck out in the free agent market, due mainly to Frank's dated ways and refusal to open up the check book as the big names who were interested were offered insultingly low salary figures..., then we called up Pel from the minors...

By our historical standards, no, we haven't been very good.
My point is, some MSU fans seems to think MSU is a good program during that same time frame, when in the big picture they haven't.
