Injured against Pitt, but I think the staff used that as an excuse. It was a obvious after that game that Milton wasn’t the answer

Milton beat out Hooker, competition wasn't really thought to be that close. Milton struggled or looked average at best, got hurt, Hooker never left the field again

A bit of both. Milton was injured but he was too raw to be the starter. Hooker won the locker room and then the starting role.
