"That’s a big reason why I committed so early, I want to start recruiting for my class and help Tennessee bring in one of the top classes in the country."

This kid is going to help bring us a top ranked recruiting class and championships. Reminds me of early Peyton quotes when he signed.

This is quite literally every major QB recruit for the past decade if not more. It’s why you rarely see a major QB recruit make it to December before committing; most commit before their senior year of HS and help build the class around them (because it’s in their future best interest to do so).

Hell, now that I think about it Bruce Feldman may have even written about this in Meat Market back when O was coaching Ole Miss. It’s only newsworthy when a QB recruits holds out

Wanna know how I know Tennessee hasn’t been relevant in a long time?

He’s renting your school. Will be in the portal within two years after realizing his ceiling is the music city bowl.

He’s a good get for sure but after watching that title game it’s hard to believe even with this kid we’re anywhere close to the bama Georgia level. It’ll take some time. Those teams are playing a different sport at this point.
