With Butch Jones at the helm, is Tennessee really going to be the new powerhouse of the SEC as the sports media is predicting?

I think so. His 12-13 overall two season record is a strong indicator that he is better than Derek Dooley ever was. Dooley only won 11 games his first two seasons but, he lost 14 games. So, Jones has lost less games than Dooley and won more games than Dooley, therefore, he is better than Dooley ever thought about being.

This tells me, as well as many college football experts, that Tennessee is on the verge of greatness once again, after all these years.

One of the strongest indicators that Tennessee is on the right path with Jones is that they won five games in 2013 but, they won seven games in 2014. That is an improvement. Winning seven games is better than winning five games.

Sure, I'm an Alabama fan and don't particularly care for Tennessee but, you would have to be blind to not sense that Tennessee is just about ready to take college football by storm this season.

Fear is such a stinky cologne, comrade. Perhaps you should look into Coolwater, it will most likely fit into your budget.

Silly auNecks, always striving to insert their team into any conversation. Wait 'till I start an auNeck thread.

This is a thread about a team that was once a national powerhouse that is on the rise, not a regional backwater team thats main claim to glory is it's proximity to Tuscaloosa.

I think Tennessee is definitely on the up-swing. However, that gay night club thing they have going on in their weight room is just....

Especially if they hire a Kiffin, Smart, Jeremy Pruitt type when Saban retires.

I do fear that Jones is better than Dooley was. So far, he has edged him out by a game or two. But, if Jones can win more than four games this season, he is totally better than Dooley.

I think Dooley won four games in his third and final season. This year will be the benchmark test for Davis.

I know, that is what my whole idea for composing the post was about. Tennessee is on the upswing; they won seven games last season.

During Jones' first season, they only won five. That is a major upswing.

I realize you are being facetious. I really do think they are going to be a lot better in the coming years than they have been in the post Fulmer era so far.

Look, I'm sure this type of trolling is successful and maybe even considered creative on al.com or whatever horse shite board you're coming from. However, you're posting on the premier board in all of Al Gore's Internet, and this type of garbage is unsatisfactory.

If you can't do better, there is a dorky kid in Georgia named Momtgomery that you can pass your username/password info to. He would be more entertaining.

Everyone watch this auNeck do what auNecks do and make this thread about them. They aren't only Alabama's little sister, they are basically every SEC team's little brother.

Notice the typical auNeckery in his bombastic statements with no anchor in reality. Pretty much beat the crap out you since the 1980's, in auNeckery, means that it is a virtually even contest, minus one game, since 1980.

You have to know how to understand them because they are different than us in so many ways.

His next retort will be that from 1893-1902, minus 1901, and then skipping to the year 2000-2007, minus 2003, they dominated us by a total, overall score of 59-48, thus proving that they are really the best.
