LSU only had 4 impact seniors in Edwards, Downs, Longergan, and Alleman.

Clement and Shepard also played snaps but that's about it.

I've posted this a couple times now, but it has to be taken into account IMO that 6 of the guys leaving were RS Juniors, a 7th has a degree, and an 8th pretty much got kicked off the team.

Its a massive number, but if you look case by case there were very compelling reasons for all of them to begin their NFL career.

How much talent can LSU afford to lose? Will they even be competitive next year?

Considering all of the freshmen we played this year, we will be more than ready to go for the 2013 season.

I gurantee you a couple of those guys come out with stories about the problems in the locker room since the title game last year. It is inevitable.

You have no fricking idea what you are talking about and should be banned.

6 out of the 10 guys leaving played at LSU for 4 years since they redshirted. That is the way it works buddy.

another Aussie too. Yall are on to something there.

Yeah. And now I think ULL has an Aussie punter commited for this signing class.

They grow up only kicking the ball from like 3 years old on. Though our current punter only started kicking about 13 months before he was offered. When he didn't make Australia's Olympic decathalon team, he decided he wanted to try to make the NFL.

Ware and Ford have nothign to gain. they have been passed by a more talented back.

some of these guys (Mingo, Mont, Faulk, Minter, Logan) are all projected top 5 at their position.

a few have already graduated and/or have children

all the players have 3-4 years experience already. LSU has played more freshmen than any other school the last few years.

but lets just ignore all those logical reasons and claim that its because they hate the coaching staff and the offense

Ill be listening just as intently as you will be for all of Joeckels stories on Manziel doing blow at halftime and getting comped to NBA games and Indian casinos.

Those are the underclassmen. How many starting seniors is LSU losing?

We didn't have many I think 2?

LSU brings back essentially the entire offense and our defense will reload every year with our talent and Chavis.

LSU will be underrated next year, but in the end will have 2 losses due to that absurd schedule we have.

Don't discredit how nice it is to have a great Punter like Wing.

Our punting situation may have cost us 2 games this year. And for sure cost us the LSU game.

Our backup Aussie is a damn fine punter in his own right.

If T-Bob or Jarret Lee ain't out there with some super stories, then I don't see any of these guys coming out with anything.

LSU really suffered this year with OL injuries. They're not sinking, but they have to be affected by such front-line defections.

definitely. but we return 4/5 of the o-line (post injuries and one guy quitting the team) so perhaps them getting experience this season will be a blessing in disguise.

Punter is very important for teams with bad O. Good thing LSU has some good punters; we know they are going to be busy. How many times did he punt in the bowl game? ;)

But all the ones with the most playing time are coming back next year.

Should be a decent unit next year if they stay healthy. Huge IF, I know.

Our defense will be better in the secondary and LB core. Remains to be seen on the DL, but we have serious talent waiting for their turn.

A lot.

And that was our backup Aussie punter and he performed very well.

I think LSU's situation is best summed up by a quote from the great Stephen T. Colbert that I will take a little liberty with:

quote:

Everybody asks for personnel changes. So, LSU has personnel changes. And then you write, "Oh, they're just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic." First of all, that is a terrible metaphor. LSU is not sinking. LSU is soaring! If anything, they are rearranging the deck chairs on the Hindenburg!

Gee....from the looks of it LSU fans are not worried and maybe LSU is ready to post a 12-0 record in 2013? I honestly dont know why I was thinking there might be a few problems...who knew?

Right now its going to be crowded in Hotlanta the first saturday in December...looks like east winner will be playing Bama, LSU & A&M at the same time?

Faulk leaving really did put a bit of a hit on this IMO. He's the biggest loss of the bunch easily.

Even with all of the guys that played this year, there won't be much of any experienced depth on the Oline next year. I was really hopping to have Williford as the experienced interior line backup a la TBob.
