For whatever it's worth, and for the record...
Pre 1974 college baseball was played with wood bats.

Yes this is a bit of a homer stat with all the UF guys on the list. Pardon the pun.

Puns should never be pardoned, only executed.

Hopefully you are speaking of the pun and not the punner.

That should be a word.

Weakest CWS ever coming up. Only Piggie can keep LSU from backing into another one.

So what does that say about the weakness of Texas and Vandy, who didn’t make it out of Regionals? If either Arkansas or LSU wins this CWS, will there be an asterisk in your head?

*”punster”
…and “Yes” the pun, otherwise I would be dead for many years.
Remember a pun is a rare medium, well done.

I think it's crazy that Vandy has only been 5 times as good as they have been with Corbin for the last 20 years. They have done well when they make it though. This year was fairly typical for them. National seed and don't make it.

True but another way to look at it is he’s gotten to Omaha in 25% of the seasons he’s coached. How many other coaches can say that? Not a ton

Because of the trees outside of Jackie Robinson Stadium, UCLA will never be able to expand their stadium. Cutting down the trees to facilitate stadium expansion is not going to happen.

Between lsu and Arizona, Johnson has now been to the CWS 4 out of 9 seasons. 44%

(2 out of 5 seasons at Arizona and now 2 out of 4 seasons at LSU)

LSU CWS title win percentage : 37%

Texas CWS title win percentage : 16%

thats great, but that also means the % of LSU not finishing in the top 8 in the country is far lower than Texas. I see how youre spinning it , but really it just means Texas contends for titles more

LSU has been to the CWS 20 times in the last 40 years

Look, we get it, Cock fans are upset that you hired a coach that LSU fired and he failed miserably in Columbia.

At least South Carolina learned from their mistake and is moving on from Mainieri…

Oh shite, wait.

That is why Rod Dedeaux it the greatest college baseball coach of all time. You put this in perfect perspective.

Now the Shorthorns, who've been 38 times, only have 6 Nattys. Not bad, but not the best average either.
