Submitted in good fun :) Also, I absolutely think Burrow is a fantastic QB and will most likely be in NY in a couple months

quote:

If you watch Tua, his head/vision fakes are much more planned than on-the-fly. It's fooled many into thinking he has great field vision, but his field vision is more average than excellent. Burrow is much better, which is why I think he has a stronger Pro upside.

quote:

He looks great with world class WR’s and a stout OL against cupcakes. He’s a bit of a different QB while under pressure against equivalent athletes. I don’t think he will be an elite pro QB.

quote:

Tua is a very predictable passer, was the case last year too.

quote:

I see Tua to be in the vein of Danny Weurfel. Good college QB with an amazing supporting cast. His NFL potential is limited

quote:

I hardly have ever seen Tua sit back in the pocket, read a safety, look a guy off and throw a ball in tight coverage.

quote:

That 3rd and 17 at Texas was clutch. You can't teach that. Tua has never faced that kind of adversity.

quote:

Tua's stats were great today, but it was mostly from his receivers absolutely burning people. Most of Tua's throws were quick easy passes. I don't know if he threw a ball farther than 10 yards.

quote:

Tua has more physical talent. But Burrow has intangibles, leadership skills, and smarts that can trump physical talent. Drew Brees is a shining example of that.

quote:

If Tua was better than Burrow, Jalent Hurts wouldn’t have had to beat Georgia

quote:

Tua doesn’t have the football IQ that Burrow does. He can’t read a defense like Burrow does.

quote:

Look I don’t care what most people think... Tua has a great arm, and he can move well.... but he’s playing in about the easiest possible system and most of his passes are within 10 yards and his ridiculously talented WRs just take them to the house. I hardly have ever seen Tua sit back in the pocket...

quote:

tua is great at throwing his first read and checkdown. He is also good at get open scramble drills and is better with his legs but Burrow is much better at reading defenses, making multiple reads, running an offense and is just smarter IMO. ...

quote:

Burrow has done is against better competition....so, as of right now at least, Burrow >>> Tua...

quote:

Tua is great but I don’t think he is mentally on Burrow’s level and Burrow can do everything Tua can physically.

quote:

Tua reminds me of a bigger Russell Wilson. Burrow reminds me of Tom Brady

quote:

I believe Burrow has passed Tua as best QB in the SEC. Burrow does the small things better and has the mental makeup to elevate his game. His pocket presence and anticipation on his throws are elite.

quote:

Joe is the best team QB in the country. He’s passed Tua and Lawrence. ...

I really don't care about college football's annual beauty contest. I'm just happy to have a QB who isn't Danny Etling, Brandon Harris, Anthony Jennings, and the list goes on. Enjoying such things should be required after much suffering.

Both are great QBs who are doing well this year. Tua was expected, but Burrow has been the surprise I don't even think LSU fans expected.

Honestly I'm just shocked that much like 2011, LSU and Bama mirror each other again...just the exact opposite of how they did then.

Should be fun, but there's no denying two of the best QBs play every weekend in the SEC. That's something LSU fans haven't been able to be excited about in a long damn time.

Fans of one school, who are also posing as wannabe NFL talent scouts, think their QB is better than a QB from another school

Since I didn’t post my evaluation over there:

Tuna’s numbers are bloated. He throws the ball 5-10 yards (typically slants/flats) and his receiver does the rest. Rarely does he make a great throw.

Look at South Carolina:
- Ruggs TD = 5 yard slant, run for 70 yards
- Najoe TD = caught 2 yards off the LOS, run for 50 yards

His deep ball has no touch. It’s a heave and hope his speedy WR gets underneath it.

(He has made a handful of good throws in his career, the ball to Erwin vs LSU was very good. But those plays are rare.)

ETA: See the bottom of Page 3 if you need some evidence.

I was so happy he was on the Texas sidelines for the LSU/Texas game. I was just praying that they were actually listening to him.

Glad my quote could contribute to your thread. It's true. And you're welcome.

I would pick Burrow over Tua based on toughness and durability. I've seen Burrow take hit after hit and not seem phased by it.

I wonder if LSU's players know that the fans keep saying their WRs and OL are average or even worse, so that they can pump up Joe's accomplishments.
