I always felt a little bit badly for TCU, watching my Aggies beat them 24 straight years. Twenty-four years. In a row.

Maybe I feel a little less badly for them now.

First, I went to law school in Austin. Love Matt's. Good name.

Second, in the last fifty years, the series record is 21-19 in Texas' favor. No one has "owned" anyone else in the modern era.

If Saban loses 3 games and gets fired this year, I can see Kelly at Bama. Wouldn’t be the first time.

2007, sure. Had we beat A&M, we'd have 2 losses alongside like 5 or 6 other teams.

2006, no. Had we beat A&M, we'd have 2 losses. Ohio State (12-0) and Florida (11-1) played for the title that year.

That 2006 game was mind boggling. A 12-7 game was rare for the Big 12 those days. I guess both defenses wouldn’t budge. I was worried Henry Milton would go off bc he was highly ranked in recruiting. He never panned out it seemed. Huge dude. For us, thank goodness Mike Goodson hated you guys.

They would've been favored against everybody in the SEC except Alabama and Georgia

Doubtful.

Melton feasted on bad teams but teams with good talent always handled him.

Bijan had a similar profile. Dude absolutely murdered weak-to-decent talent but good teams tended to bottle him up. Those teams sold out to stop him and if our QB couldn't take advantage, we were screwed.

I hope he proves me wrong but I wouldn't bet on Bijan being a star in the NFL. Amazing college career though.

TCU has the best athletic program in the State of Texas.

Baylor is #2

You're shtick is not only old ... it's petty and it's ignorant.

Give it a break dude.

As far as Sonny Dyke and TCU goes ... he's just trying-to keep them, and himself, relevant. Everyone, other than members of the SEC, are now on the outside looking-in with no hope in sight. The SEC is about to become the 300 pound gorilla for decades to come provided UTa doesn't bring its poison with it.

Wait… you’re saying that games played longer ago are more relevant than games played recently?

What? Not at all. How in the world did you reach that conclusion?

But there was a study done recently about wasted talent, and Texas showed very poorly. Can’t remember how far back but it has been posted here before. You do not want to go down that road….

Absolutely correct. Can’t blame him for trying though…

TCU would have been mauled numerous times playing a SEC schedule last year.

This is going to increase as conferences jockey for more playoff spots.

2 loss teams ranked outside of the top 10 in week 12 aren't in the NC run.

Record since 2000:

Texas 9 wins
A&M 3 wins

I'd say that's pretty dominant, bud...

While this isn't even remotely true in the slightest, at least y'all are staying true to your colors by never being a school that contends, but basing your entire season off of whether you can upset your rival that actually does contend.

It's like y'all are trying to make this too easy
