Go ahead and sue me. I do not give a $#@!. I've spent more money on lawyers in the last 5 years than you will make in the next 10. Here's what's going to happen when you do.
1. I went ahead and registered danielfigurelli.com. Don't believe me? Look and see where it goes to.
2. i'm going to document everything about the lawsuit there. I own a web hosting company. I buy bandwidth by the terabyte. It will not cost me a thing to keep that site up forever.
3. Pretty soon it will be the number one result in google for your name. Good luck finding a job if the potential employer enters your name into google.
4. As soon as the lawsuit is filed I'll make motions and subpoena your employer, your home ISP and your cell phone provider for all records of you on line.
5. I will subpoena twitter for all records and IP addresses, emails and records associated with the twitter accounts you claim you do not own.
6. I will subpoena the email providers associated with the twitter accounts for anything related with these twitter accounts.
7. At this point it will be pretty simple to prove that you are behind these accounts and the lawsuit will be dismissed.
8. Good luck finding a job once it's proven you've made these twitter accounts.

There is a 50 page thread on the Shag that I read in its entirety last night. It is a must read. It was more interesting than Prince's death.
The Shag ripped the façade off this little fricker and exposed him badly. They really fricked this punk up as it looks like he will certainly lose his job and probably impact him at aTm (he is grad student there I think...)....I would almost feel sorry for him but what he did was reprehensible. It's really pretty scary and a warning about the hazards of social media.
...oh and Blacklab is the man.

Patterson didn't sue him - the lawsuit started well before Patterson took over.
BL fought it for years (hence his mentioning of 5yrs worth of legal fees).

Then it's a simple question of who is more incompetent, the site owner for not checking to see if the name of his website is in violation of an existing trademark or texas for taking 5 years to enforce said trademark.
Considering that their resident "expert" in all things trademark is Randolph Duke, I'd say both.
