Yes and no.
While the violation itself may be level 2, lack of institutional control is a level 1 violation.
So it largely boils down to how Ole Miss handles it. If it's viewed as a failure on Ole Miss to monitor and take action when finding out about the infraction, then that's a level 1. If Ole Miss self reports, takes action over it, then it can be a level 2 and nothing much will happen.
The problem for Ole Miss is this is the HC and higher up people who should be the ones who know better. Pete being a new HC might be a good argument though.

Ole miss fans are bi polar. A week ago they were saying that LSU needed to hit with tampering sanctions. Now they are saying tampering is just a level 2 violation and they are good if they get hit with that.
