I know a guy who had a trailer stolen and the thief said something similar. Said he bought the trailer from a guy on FB Marketplace for $400 and the guy told him the address of "his" business and told him to go pick it up anytime after 8pm. The detective then told the thief he'd keep his phone and go through it and track his messages and movements leading up to and after the theft and finally the guy confessed. This James Bubba guy is fricked.

People on the OT were at the Boston bombing and posted it well before it was in the news. They stayed ahead of the news for hours with pictures and live information on the scene.

So I guess he is claiming some random person said "here take my trailer for 500 dollars" and that wasn't even the seller's trailer.

See my previous post. They'll take his phone and check all his messages and movements before and after the theft. He was hoping to get in touch w/ the OP and try to explain things and smooth things out before law enforcement got involved, in other words, lie his way out of it. Too late.
