We had a group of 8 or so and we had a strategy that worked quite well but you have to get there early. Our 2nd game of the finals, I was row 1 right behind home plate.
What is the ticket situation normally like ?

No....it's code for call a Lindsey property before shelling out a ton of money on a hotel.

Hardest part is getting a good hotel room without paying a ransome.
Council Bluffs, Iowa is just across the river from downtown Omaha and many of the hotels there operate a free shuttle service to the stadium before & after each game. That's where we stayed last year.

Went a few years ago to the championship series and tickets weren't hard to come by. They are always selling standing room only tickets for the outfield. You just have to be there 4 hours before the gates even open to sit in line and get a good seat.
