Gamecocks scored 28 runs this weekend - but just 1 today - and it was apparently enough -

Carolina sweeps Morehead in one of the most bizarre weekends of baseball in Columbia in quite awhile -

They passed on Vitello when they could have hired him. They went with Steve Bieser instead. Whoops

Vols run rule the Bonnie’s 13-2.

In 7 innings, the Vols threw 9 different pitchers.

Important note with this game - Oklahoma and Sam Houston have agreed to only play 7 innings here, with the run-rule coming after 5

Wonder if its due to Sat rained out and early season for arms?

Am I losing my mind? How is that not a homerun in the Auburn game. I would’ve gotten tossed if I was Auburns HC.

Since starting the year 5-0 they have rattled off an impressive 4-6 record.

3 straight losses at home and 4 overall after today.

The bright spot is they are undefeated on the road at 0-0 so far

I had to know what the blue hose meant, the more you know…

quote:

A "blue hose" refers to the nickname for the athletic teams at Presbyterian College, most commonly used for their football team; the name originated from the blue socks (considered "hose" interchangeably) that the early players wore, leading sportswriters to call them the "Blue Stockings" which eventually shortened to "Blue Hose.".

I’ve never seen a ball that lands outside the stadium but bounces back in be a ground rule double…

Honestly I think our administration is cutting their losses at ever taking it seriously. The fan support is firmly behind football and basketball. Shoot even our softball and wrestling has more fan support.

Not lying I think if you interviewed our entire stadium at a home football game maybe 5% of fans could name a single player and the head coach of the baseball team. It’s that forgotten.

I think if you interviewed the same folks they’d also vote to defund baseball entirely and funnel it all into football/basketball.

Vandy finally looks like they've turned the corner, sweeping Xavier by a combined 21 runs and allowing four runs across the three games. Was likely nice revenge for Vandy after losing to Xavier in 2023 regionals.

Perfect time for Vanderbilt to get hot, with only a mid-week game against Valpo left before SEC play begins next weekend against Auburn.

“If you build it, they will come.” Lol! I’m sure the fans could get behind a good baseball team

I totally agree with you, I just think the administration has made their priorities clear.
