Not sure why you find my comments amusing. Auburn's biggest deficit against any opponent is like 7 or 8 games. The cult trails their big bro in the head to head series by around 40 games

While it is certainly prevalent on tRant, it is also present IRL and in the South. I actually heard Bama fans use "order restored" in conversation after they beat Auburn last season.

I realize most of y'all know little to nothing about our history, but you'd be hard-pressed to find two rival universities with as historically disparate backgrounds as Texas A&M University/Texas AMC and the University of Texas.
Apples and oranges are identical, in comparison.
It'll take years of the now-leveled playing field to make a dent in the historical head-to-head record between the two institutions.
That's not an excuse, it's just fact.

C'mon, man. They make more money than anybody. And they'll continue to do so for a long while yet. They've had over 50K enrolled as long as I can remember, and I'm an old sumbitch.

The institutions involved in the Egg and Iron Bowls used to be like that, but then the technological revolution occurred and, while there are still veterinarian and agricultural schools on the Plains and in Starkville, the difference is not too noticeable.
Don't get me wrong, the student bodies in Oxford and Starkville are like day and night, but there is a sizeable what you'd consider "Ole Miss type" student population in Starkville and Auburn.

When you factor in compulsory military service and an all-male student body, it makes for some epic discrepancies.
Frankly, I'm surprised the record isn't more lop-sided than it is.

Let's add to the list of onditions on resuming the Aggie / Longhorn series:
1. All refs for any athletic contest will be former or current A&M students or employees in perpetuity.
2. The UIL will be disbanded and replaced by the A&MIL.
3. All high school championship games or events will take place on A&M's campus in perpetuity.
4. The next 20 games will be played at Kyle Field.
5. The fricking longhorns will pay royalties to A&M for any images or events featuring A&M (past or present) that appear on the LHN, in perpetuity.
6. All official document's, public meeting, press releases or other official communications or writings from the University of Texas System or any individual school within the system will refer to Texas A&M College Stattion, in perpetuity, as "Daddy," "big brother," or "Merciful Lord and Savior, A&M."
We will have more conditions, but let's start there. These are not negotiable. Take or frick off.

I am simply allowing for restitution. Only one of the conditions on that list has never been in place in favor of the fricking longhorns. Those were (and some still are) REAL longhorn advantages (save one and I will let you guess which one).

I think y'all deserve a pass this year after playing 2 BCS/P5 teams the previous 2 years.
And playing GA Southern is no joke. :/
I guess we deserve a break, but that doesn't mean we're playing a good OOC schedule and I'd always prefer we schedule tougher. Just my preference as someone who likes to watch good football. And I know Southern isn't a joke, they beat y'all in '13 and almost beat NCST and GT last year. The entire city of Statesboro will be in Athens that weekend too.

I think the best thing for A&M to do is not act as if you don't need Texas, or that you don't want them, it's to schedule them at all fricking costs and then beat the ever living frick out of them for three or four consecutive years. Hell, play every game in Austin, but stomp a mudhole in their asses four consecutive years and you'll really see a change in the way people in your state, and around the country, view your football program.
