I don't know why they didn't just punch it in. I stayed the whole game because like any good addict I needed to hit bottom first to recover.

It was just as much punishment to the LSU team as it was Miles not wanting to run it up on a friend.
Mettenberger's bootleg was a called run. Miles was pissed that his 3rd string QB would do that.
Plus he scored. Miles could have won if he would have asked for a challenge.
