Bielema has been known to use 3 tight ends in the same offensive formation.

Of course an LSU fan would think TE's are useless.

No I just think having 7 on scholarship is useless. About Like having 25 or however many recievers it was petrino had

We have 6 on scholarship and use 2 TE's in over 50% of our snaps and frequently use 3 in short yardage situations. Having 6 is about right with our style of offense. Now it wouldn't make any sense at all for an Ole Miss or A&M to have 6. That would be a waste of scholarships.

Interesting stat from a&m. Kyle Allen had more receiving yards than whoever their top tight end receiver was last season.. They just about NEVER throw to a tight end.. so I can't imagine why any top tight end would go there to catch or even to block.

Also, the year prior, I believe they had 1 tight end with 1 catch..

LSU had a tight end with actually double digit catches last season.

Other than Deatrich Wise, do you have any quality pass rushers? Or are you just relying on Agim and hoping that neither him nor Wise get injured?

You're 2-4 against mediocre the last 6 years.

Sony Michel makes Carolina LBs look silly

Isn't this the game that made Spurrier quit?

Probably linebacker for State. Can't argue with QB at Ole Miss because it's elite.

Can't really argue any of the rest, except: Without knowing who else besides Tim Williams Bama returns on the DL, a case could probably be made for the group

Tim is a LB.

I'd say RB for LSU. DB a close second.

We have the luxury of a 230 lb 5ypc battering ram as a third string, and two very dependable fullbacks. That's a solid backfield.

The reason I didn't mention QB is that the passing game must improve. Also our future QB is a true frosh. While we do have capable backups Dobbs and Guaranto are in leagues of their own.

As for tRant... I get tired of the pocket passer bias. Dobbs is a stud and a playmaker but many don't respect him here on tRant (IOW, I figured why bother on here). That said, he's been absolutely crucial.
