Hey look, no need for you guys to get so nervous and start freaking out. I'm just repeating what a friend who follows W Va. told me.

Was it this guy?

Competition in the conference is one thing but to make a comment like that just shows ignorance on your part. You're better than that.

No. Not really....

I'm sorry...who said he was asked? Again, this is ALL pure speculation.

why are you so testy about this? it's been fairly widely reported on Birmingham radio that he was contacted and was supposed to come in for an interview.

I thought Alabama news outlets were not trustworthy.

This is not true...yet.

I'm sorry, how do you know? There is no link and it has not been confirmed, but it doesn't mean that it is not true. It has supposedly leaked out from inside sources. Hatcher was supposed to give an answer by early this week and he has decided to stay at Ga. Southern, from what I heard. That may be wrong, but it seems credible.

How do you know it isn't true? If it is, that means that Saban is now down to choice #5. Pity.

You are apparently missing the fact that your Bama program is now a lower tier SEC job now. Welcome to Ole Miss World.

Saban's teams are built around Defense and running the football. The OC is not nearly as important as the defense.

That said, he'll get somebody. They will run a conservative no frills offense and they will win.

How does having more NC's than any othe sec school and almost as many as all other SEC schools combined as well as being ranked #1 for at least half of this season, make Bama a lower tiered SEC job?

I'm no Bama fan and I love to beat them, but c'mon. This is the most ridiculous post ever.

Does he? He seems to think Saban is looking for an O.C. right NOW...instead of realizing this thread is a year old, and has been bumped for our collective amusement.

I like this gem from one page ago:
