But that absurd level is the reason why he's been able to maintain his job all these years.

Yes but Saban could be doing less and still keep it. That just shows how great he has been for awhile now.

Saban, Meyer, and Dabo come to mind. If you want to count the playoffs as a final 4

Well you brought up Cal's one national championship so that is what I was sticking too

He also included UGA in his twitter which they just recently got a NC so he is even with them at the moment

It's your coach, so if you're happy with him that's fine.

But we are not the same. That shite wouldn't fly at Alabama.

Ironically they’re just slightly above average in both sports right now.

We aren't keeping a guy who just wins 10 games and makes a bowl game. If Saban starts missing out on the playoffs for the next 6 years in a row, do you still think he has a job for the 7th?

You are going to enjoy the post Saban years

I am a Kentucky basketball fan and Calipari can suck it. The football program is more stable and on an upward swing compared to his one and done bullshite.

The basketball team will be better off when Cal is gone. He’s left at least three National titles on the table. The SEC isn’t afraid of us.

You’re a fricking idiot. He said Kentucky is a basketball school and he said Alabama and Georgia are football schools. That’s the quote. Are you saying you disagree? He never once compared himself to Saban. Not sure why you’re comparing them.

I don't think he'd be around for the 6th, much less the 7th.

I'm not sure what you mean. I don't think Georgia calls itself a football school.

But they still fired Mark Richt. Who had good seasons, but didn't get results in the post season.

I'm not comparing the coaches. I'm comparing the schools.

If Cal was the football coach at Alabama and produced the same results, he would be fired.

it’s just a different sport. Only two coaches have more NCs than Cal since he got to Kentucky and they’re both retired now. There’s about 4-5 teams that can win a national championship in football every year. There’s about 12-15 in basketball at the start of the year. You also can’t sit on 5* stars for 3-4 years like Alabama football does. You get 1 maybe 2 years in basketball out of them.

All in all, there’s not much Cal praise in the state. He’s gotta do something this year

You have a great basketball program but football is the money sport and the one driving conference realignment. All schools need to invest all they can into their football programs because if football ever breaks away from the NCAA(it will) the networks will decide who joins.

I don’t disagree. They’ve put a ton of money into football the past 10 years. I’m just saying that’s where Cal was coming from

Traditionally, yes we’re a basketball school. But it’s that shitty mentality that for years limited success in other programs. And we’re building something solid under Stoops on the football side.

IDGAF if Cal has done what he’s done. If he wants to be a one-horse show he can take that shite back to Memphis.

He is not wrong.

Stoops is right also, this is the SEC.

Stoops has done great things at Kentucky.

It's your coach, I'm just saying if I was a Kentucky fan I'd tell him to eat a dick.

I'm not a fan of basketball, but I'd still be like eat a dick if Saban was to make a similar comment. Uncalled for. From what I've seen, it's the exact opposite with Saban, he is constantly promoting the other sports and trying to help elevate them, not take funding away.

It's paying off because UK has fielded some good football teams and is receiving some great hype for the upcoming season.

I respect Calipari fighting for his program but I would not have went public with it.

Who would the fans back between Calipari and Stoops?

UK has a great job investing in football over the past 10 years but yeah, they'll always be a basketball first school. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Cal is absolutely wrong. It's not like the University or Boosters are deciding where to invest, he's gotten everything he's ever asked for and the basketball team facility is like two years old.

Never throw another program at your school under the bus like that. Especially not a popular one.
