So the gist I'm getting here is that Spurrier is so asshurt about people talking about his old age and mediocre season, that he had to call a press conference to bitch about it.

Just like all the other press conferences he called after the other mediocre seasons he's had at South Carolina?
This was for recruiting. Other coaches are pointing at his old age to steal recruits. Spurrier has gotta put an end to that misconception somehow.

He's been bitching about something in regards to NCAA rules since he's been at UA and that hasn't stopped him from winning 91 football games in 8 seasons.
The difference is he wins championships. Spurrier hasn't won anything of significance in 15 years.
